Heart Rate is like the RPM of a car engine: a good indicator of the intensity. Body Temp. is like the car engine temperature. Engine needs to be warm to work efficiently, but overheating has major impact on the workout. Body temp. can provide important guidance on when to reduce effort, drink water, adjust clothing or seek shade.
