The Pyrex Essentials 1.6L Casserole is manufactured in France from borosilicate glass. As well as being BPA free, Borosilicate is also hygienic and resistant to stains, odours and scratches. It is also able to withstand extreme temperatures, from -40°C to +300°C and is thermal shock resistant up to 220°C - it can go straight from the freezer (-20°) into a hot oven (200°C). This casserole dish has many uses - from simmering and steaming through to roasting.
