Choose your vocation

Choose from several unique vocations for the Arisen and your main Pawn, from the sword-wielding Fighter to the illusions-casting Trickster, each offering a different approach to combat and dedicated skills to unlock.

Playing with Pawns

Gather your party, vary your vocations and work together in the wild to overcome the odds Pawns are AI companions devoted to serving the Arisen. Players will lead a party of up to three of these characters throughout their journey. Pawns respond to the player’s commands and can support them in and outside of combat. Each Pawn has its own vocation, and commanding them to perform actions or take up key positions can give the player an advantage in battle. The player’s main Pawn is fully customizable using Dragon’s Dogma 2’s range of photo-scanned assets, lending avatars a natural look compared to the first game. Two additional Pawns can be hired from in-game options or from other players via the internet. Every Pawn gains experience from their travels with each Arisen. Having a diverse team of Pawns will allow for countless ways to play, while lending a sense of camaraderie to this single-player adventure.

The threats that await

You will encounter many monsters and must decide between engaging them in battle or exploring other options. Be aware of your party’s setup, the terrain around you, and your foes’ strengths and weaknesses.
